Ever since the first look of “Panjaa” was revealed to the world, the Pawan Kalyan-starrer started creating a huge buzz.
Talking about the much-anticipated movie, Nagesh Muntha, one of the producer, says, “It isn’t your regular foursong-three-fight-one-item number fare. In most movies the characters are sheltered into the narrative like a passenger strapped to the car seat belt. But in “Panjaa” the characters are well etched out. While Ali, Brahmanandam, Jhansi along with Pawan Kalyan drum up the comedy, drama and action too is synced aptly into the story. There are no forced insertions and at every turn the story is gripping.”
The director says he kept a safe distance from unwanted ‘build-ups’, overthe-top dialogues and exaggerated heroism that are a trademark of Tollywood.
Director Vishnu Vardhan, has gone a notch up in styling the film and Pawan Kalyan’s looks. In fact, the actor’s chic bearded look has spawned a new trend among his fans. Vishnu has also teamed up with some of the best technicians in the industry. While PS Vinod, who has done great work in ad films, is the cinematographer, National Award-winning editor, Akkineni Sreekar Prasad, has been roped in for this flick. The action is something to watch out for too. “There’s hand-to-hand combat scenes and high octane gun fight sequences. The audiences are tired of the done-to-death sequences of Sumos tossing in the air.”

Now, all eyes are set on the audio launch to be held today. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music for “Panjaa” blends in different styles and melody — he has belted out three melodious numbers, a club track , a folk song and a hip hop track, that Yuvan sang himself.
Nagesh adds, “With names like Sarah-Jane Dias, Jackie Shroff, Atul Kulkarni and Tanikella Bharani on board, “Panjaa” is going to be a stylish Pawan Kalyan film. It will be remembered as a gangster classic for a long time to come.”
Yuvan tweeted that “My mom has given me strength to face life so I will. And I’m back with panjaa” and he would be attending audio release function today.
