Meera Chopra, Priyanka Chopra's cousin, who acted with Pawan kalyan in
Bangaram, who was once a familiar face in Tollywood, was more in the
news for getting embroiled in one controversy after another, than for
her onscreen presence.
Now, the actress seems to be caught in another scandal. Buzz
has it that Meera is allegedly on the wanted list of the Delhi Police
for a murder case. According to news reports, the Delhi police wanted to
question the actress in connection with the death of a 28-year-old married woman
Ruchi Bhuttan, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her
house in Delhi. After complaints were received from Ruchi's relatives,
the police reportedly registered a case
and enquired about her husband Sumit, the reports said. According to
sources, Sumit Bhuttan was in a relationship with Meera. Ruchi,
allegedly learnt of her husband's extra marital affair, and was
constantly fighting with him about it. Now after Ruchi's death, the cops
have supposedly linked Meera to the case. The police is yet to confirm
her involvement in this case. Meera was unavailable for comment.
After she made her Tollywood debut in the Pawan Kalyan-starrer
"Bangaram", the actress also starred in "Vaana" and a bilingual,
"Jaganmohni." She was also in "Satyam Shivam Sundaram"opposite Nithin, a film which was supposed to release four years ago. But it was reportedly stalled because Meera filed a complaint against
the producer claiming she didn't receive the remuneration for the film.
The same film released last month with a changed title — "Maaro." Meera
also acted in a few Tamil films, but has been missing in action in the South film industry for a few years now.
